When it comes to customizing WordPress themes I generally have an easier time of it changing CSS or tweaking the PHP code than I do modifying image elements of the theme. That's probably because I'm not a graphic designer. Fortunately you don't have to be a graphic designer to be able to customize the image elements of your Genesis themes. If that was a requirement I'd be sunk. What Are Image Elements? What do we mean by image elements? These are the portions of your theme that are ... Read More

The WordPress Community Has Your Back
While the concept of communal relations and interest led associations dates back to Confucius, the definition of community is constantly being redefined as civilization advances. Technology, and in particular the internet, has taken the concept of community to a completely new level. Social media has not only fueled the growth of communities, it has forced it to evolve. Psychology and sociology have always fascinated me. My love for these subject areas almost surpasses my infatuation with ... Read More
Be the Peacock
The peacock is known for his colorful and far reaching tail features. The blue and gold features are used to draw attention and to attract potential mates. The Peacock’s methods are very effective, as the average male gathers a harem of several female peahens. While the male peacock proudly markets himself to potential mates, his female counterpart, the peahen, remains drab so she can blend into the bushes in an effort to protect herself and her incubating eggs. She is forgettable, ... Read More

Friday’s Marketing Roundup: Good Reads from the Week Ending November 15th
Ok I'll admit it - we've been really bad at providing our marketing roundups lately. I've been busy and we've been launching new themes and new client websites. For that I apologize and I'm going to try and get back into the habit of writing our roundups each Friday. I've changed the format up a bit and added in a new section for generic goodness. Sometimes the best articles don't have to be about WordPress or SEO. Sometimes they can just be about business. After all, business is what keeps ... Read More
Non-Profit Website Design That Would Even Make My Aunt Happy
I’m thrilled to announce the release of Patricia, a non-profit WordPress theme that was just added to our stock theme store. This Genesis child theme can be utilized by not for profit organizations, charities, and foundation websites. Our firm offers pro bono services for non-profits, but we have a limited amount of charities that we can help each year. This has always bothered me because non-profit website design is important and we need to help make a difference. In creating Patricia, I ... Read More
