A funny thing happened this week on LinkedIn. A number of people started saying “congratulations” or “congrats” and I was quite perplexed.
Apparently I had forgotten that this month marks five years since the launch of Web Savvy Marketing.
Somewhere between client launches, theme launches, and vacations – I had forgotten our company turned five years old.
For many companies five years may seem like infancy, but for a WordPress company launched in the heart of the recession, it feels like a miracle.
We made it through that very tough first year and we’ve grown substantially year after year. In fact, the month of June was our highest sales month to date.
We have been blessed in more ways than I can possibly express.
Looking Back and Looking Forward
At year five I look back and I see hundreds of custom website launches, endless amounts of theme customizations and thousands of stock theme buyers. I see more keywords, meta descriptions, and social media postings than I’d like to admit.
I see our stumbles, our achievements, and our team’s growth and maturity. I see an evolution of the company, myself, and of our employees.
As I look forward I see the continued growth of WordPress and the wonderful community that supports it and uses it. I see endless opportunities and a very bright future.
