Earlier today I was informed that Joe Links has passed away. Joe was an amazing man who I’ve have known for over a decade.
Joe was originally my co-worker at Technology Group International and in more recent years Joe was one of our customers at Web Savvy Marketing.
If you had any activity with IBM or enterprise software, you knew Joe. From Michigan to Ohio and all the way to the west coast, Joe was active. Back in the day I could not attended a conference or meeting without someone telling me that they knew Joe and that he was a “great guy”. And he was just that. He was an entrepreneur, salesman, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He could weave a story like no other and he could soft sell you into anything. He was incredibly likable and genuine. Every loved him.
At TGI Joe and I worked together in the marketing and selling of our ERP software solution. After I founded WSM, Joe came to us to build websites for two different companies.
While Joe was not born into the Internet age, he understood it and the value it brought to business. He believed in my marketing expertise while at TGI and my web design and SEO skills at WSM. Joe believed in me and my start up and for that I will always be thankful.
Today I say goodbye to Joe and I honor his memory. He was a good man and his passing is a loss to many.
